Hallmark में क्या होता है?
✓ BIS का mark (government stamp)
✓ Purity (22K, 18K, आदि)
✓ Jeweller का mark
✓ Assay office का mark
Example:
तुम एक gold ring खरीदते हो।
अंदर से देखो — ring पर hallmark दिख रहा है।
उस hallmark का मतलब:
"यह ring BIS-certified 22K gold है।"
यह क्यों important है?
क्योंकि hallmark के बिना — कोई भी जान सकता है कि तुमने 22K gold दिया है या 18K।
Naked eye से फर्क नहीं दिखता।

BIS = Bureau of Indian Standards
यह एक government organization है।

BIS का काम क्या है?

क्या BIS directly hallmark करता है?
नहीं।
BIS सिर्फ नियम बनाता है।

✅ Part 3 — BIS के 4 Marks कौन-कौन से हैं?
Mark 1: BIS का Logo (Government Certificate)
यह एक triangle symbol है।
Meaning: "यह gold BIS certified है।"
Mark 2: Purity (22K, 18K, आदि)
यह दिखाता है कि कितना pure gold है।
22K = 91.6% pure gold
18K = 75% pure gold
Mark 3: Jeweller का Logo
जिस jeweller ने बनवाया है।
Responsibility jeweller की है।
Mark 4: Assay Office का Code
कौन-सा assay office ने hallmark किया है।
Example: "MUMBAI-001" या "DELHI-005"
सब 4 marks होने चाहिए।
अगर कोई miss है — तो suspicious है।

Red Flags:
1. Hallmark का Size गलत है
Real hallmark छोटा और crisp होता है।
Fake hallmark बहुत बड़ा या बहुत धुंधला होता है।
2. Design गलत है
BIS का official logo बहुत specific है।
Fake में design slightly अलग होता है।
3. Punches गहरे नहीं हैं
Real hallmark metal में गहरे दबते हैं।
Fake में surface-level होते हैं।
4. Assay office का code गलत है
Authorized assay offices के specific codes हैं।
कोई भी random code नहीं।
Example Fake Case:

Real होता तो "DELHI-005"।

अगर HUID database में नहीं मिला — तो FAKE है।
💀 Part 6 — Real Fraud Cases (कैसे हुए?)
Case 1: The Hallmark Switcher (Delhi)
एक jeweller को 22K का ring दिया गया hallmark के लिए।
लेकिन assay office में 18K का hallmark लगा दिया।
Jeweller को fraud समझा। लेकिन assay office के employee का plot था।

Step 2: "Verify Hallmark" button click करो
Step 3: 6-digit HUID code डालो
Step 4: "Search" दबाओ
Step 5: Results देखो (jeweller, assay office, date, purity सब दिख जाएगा)
अगर:
✓ Code found = Original
✓ Code not found = Fake
Mobile से:
BIS ने एक official app भी बनाया है।
